How to Resolve the Compliance Warning for the European Union Digital Services Act (DSA) Trader Requirements

Starting October 16, 2024, iOS developers must declare their trader status to submit new apps or app updates for distribution within the European Union. This requirement aligns with the European Union’s Digital Services Act (DSA). Follow the steps below to ensure your compliance:

Steps to Comply with the DSA Trader Requirements:

  1. Log in to App Store Connect
Access your account by visiting App Store Connect and logging in with your credentials.

  2. Navigate to the Business Section
Once logged in, select the Business tab from the main menu.

  4. Declare Your Trader Status
Indicate whether you are a trader according to the European Union's Digital Services Act.

How to decide if you are a trader?

    • If you don’t distribute apps in the EU, you’re not a trader.
    • If you do, find out if you’re a trader here: Am I a Trader?

  5. Verify Contact Information (If Applicable)
If you have declared that you are a trader under the DSA, you'll need to add and verify your contact information. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete this step.

  6. Confirm Your Compliance Status
After completing the above steps, navigate back to the Business > Compliance section to confirm your trader status.
