Android || How to enable Play Integrity API for Android Apps ?

Prerequisite

Before you start with enabling Play Integrity API, please ensure that you have a service account created for your Play Console account. If you haven't done so already, we have provided step-by-step instructions in our help section on how to create a service account. You can find the instructions here
If you have already created the service account and added it to your app builder, you can skip the above step and proceed to enable the Play Integrity API.

Steps to enable Play Integrity API -

1. Log into the Play Console and select the app for enabling Play Integrity API.
   
   
2. In the Test and Release section of the left menu, go to App integrity.
   
   

3. Click on the Link Cloud Project button, as shown in the screenshot below.

    4. Now select Link Existing Project. 

5. Ensure the project selected in the dropdown is the same project linked to Play Console in the steps to create service account, and click on the Link Project button.

6. Now scroll down to Play Integrity API and click on the Settings button.

7. Scroll down to the Responses section and click on Change Responses.

8. Toggle on the Meets Basic Device Integrity and click on the Save Changes button.

Upon completing the above steps, go to your App-builder dashboard and click on the Verify Play Integrity API button for these changes to be successfully validated for your Android application.

Troubleshoot Errors:

1. Even after completing all the above steps if the learners are getting the error code 002, please ensure that steps 6 to 8 are followed properly.
