How To Create and Set Up Your Telegram Community

This article is a step-by-step guide to creating a Telegram community on Graphy. It provides all the necessary details that you need to follow, in order to make it live. 

Step 1: Navigate to Telegram Communities

Go to Graphy Dashboard > Left Navigation Panel > Products > Telegram communities.

Click "Connect your Telegram" to begin the process.

Step 2: Link Your Telegram Account with Graphy

A popup window will appear with two options to link your Telegram account.

Option 1: Click "Open bot in Telegram" to open the Graphy bot directly in Telegram.

Option 2: Scan the QR code displayed on the screen using your mobile device.

Once you open the bot, press '/start' in the chat and confirm by clicking "I've completed these steps" in the Graphy platform.

Now your Telegram is successfully linked.

Step 3: Add Telegram Communities to Graphy

After successful linking, you will see a confirmation message: "Your telegram is successfully linked. You can start creating communities now!"

Click "Start creating Telegram community" to proceed.

Step 4: Add Graphy Bot to your Telegram Channel or Group

You will now see a screen indicating "No Telegram community linked to Graphy yet."

To link a community:

1. Open your Telegram app and go to the channel or group you want to monetize

2. Add @graphy_bot to your Telegram channel or group

3. Make @graphy_bot an administrator in your Telegram channel or group

Once you've added the bot as an administrator in your Telegram group or channel, click "I've added bot to Graphy bot" to continue.

Step 5: Select Your Telegram Communities

After adding the Graphy bot to your Telegram groups or channels, you will see a list of all available communities where the bot has been added as an administrator.

To add communities:

• Browse through the list under "All communities"

• Click the "+ Add" button on each community you want to monetize on Graphy

• Selected communities will appear in the "Selected" panel on the right

• You can add up to 5 Telegram communities

Once you have selected all the communities you want to add, click "Continue" to proceed to the next step.

Step 6: Customize Landing Page details

Now you will set up the landing page details that your audience will see.

Community name: Enter a catchy and relevant title for your community in the "Community name" field. This name will be shown to your audience.

Description: Provide a detailed description of what your community will cover. This will be shown to your audience and helps attract members by letting them know what to expect.

Upload cover image: Upload a cover image that represents your community. Click the upload icon to select an image. This image will be shown to your audience.

Frequently asked questions: Set limits to how much your audience can interact with your Avatar. Click "+ Add" to enter a new question and answer. You can add multiple FAQs to help your audience understand more about the community.

Once you have filled in all the details, click "Continue" to proceed to the pricing setup.

Step 7: Setup A Pricing Plan of Your Choice

Now you will configure the pricing for your Telegram community.

Plan name: This name will be shown to your audience. Enter a descriptive name for your pricing plan.

Choose a type of pricing plan: Select from the dropdown whether you want to offer a Subscription Payment Plan, One-Time Payment Plan, or Free Access Plan.

Choose country: Select the country for pricing (e.g., India). This determines the currency for payments.

Price: Enter the price for your community and the sale price (discounted price) if applicable.

Transaction fees: Toggle "Charge transaction fee" to decide whether learners will pay the payment gateway charges or if you will absorb these costs. [Payment Gateway  Fees: If enabled, learners pay extra charges for online transactions directly. If disabled, you will bear these charges.]

Advanced settings: Click "Advanced settings" to access additional options:

• Set Pricing: Set up main price and sale price, and billing cycle.You can set up monthly, quarterly, and annual pricing.

• Renewal settings: Set auto-pay options for recurring charges

Once you have configured all pricing details, click "Continue" to publish your community.

Step 8: Share your Telegram community

Congratulations! Your Telegram community is now live. A popup will appear allowing you to share it with your audience.

The share popup includes:

• A customizable message for your audience

• Your community landing page link

• Multiple sharing options:

  • "Copy post" button to copy the message

  • "Download" button to save the promotional content

Click "Download" to save your promotional content or use the social media buttons to share directly with your audience.

Now your Telegram community is live and available for learners to join!
